Lortab Information Important Note Why is Lortab prescribed? Lortab belongs to a class of drugs called narcotic analgesics. It helps relieve pain. If you miss a dose of Lortab and you are taking it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose of Lortab, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses of Lortab at once. To ensure that you get a correct dose, measure the liquid form of Lortab with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not with a regular tablespoon. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist where you can get one. Lortab may cause constipation.
